Overview

KUBORA is free to download, free to build with, free to publish. The desktop client, the KUB scripting language, the Studio editor, multiplayer — everything ships in the free version, with nothing behind a paywall.

The only thing you ever pay for is KUBITS — the in-world currency players use to buy things creators make. If you don't want to buy anything from another creator, you never spend a cent on KUBORA. If you do, your money goes directly to the creator (90 %) and cashes out as real USD in their bank — not as platform credit.

All prices on this page are in US dollars (USD). At checkout, our payment provider (Paddle, as merchant of record) charges in your local currency at the current exchange rate and handles VAT / GST / sales tax automatically.

The client is free. For real.

No subscription. No "Plus" tier. No feature gate. Every build tool, every multiplayer room, every publish slot — included in the free client. Forever. If that ever changes, it's because KUBORA has been sold, and at that point we've already failed you.

KUBITS — the in-world currency

KUBITS (K) are the platform currency players use inside KUBORA worlds. When a creator puts a price on a game-pass, a cosmetic, or a paid world, it's priced in KUBITS. The rate is fixed:

100 KUBITS = $1.00 USD

  • Tied to your account. Not tokens. Not crypto. Not transferable between accounts. Not tradeable outside KUBORA.
  • Never expire. Any KUBITS you own stay in your balance as long as your account is active.
  • Not investments. KUBITS have no market price, no resale, no speculation. They exist purely to let you spend inside worlds.
  • Not refundable in cash once purchased — but a full bundle can be refunded within 14 days if none of its KUBITS have been spent. See Refund Policy.

What you can spend KUBITS on

Everything players buy in KUBORA is set up by a creator — the platform itself sells nothing except the KUBITS bundles above. Typical in-world purchases look like:

  • Paid access to a world — a one-time entry fee, like a ticket. Pay once, play forever.
  • Game-passes — in-world upgrades that unlock abilities, zones, gear, or a vip room.
  • Cosmetics — avatar items, emotes, skins, hats. Equipped in any world that supports them.
  • Items & packs — consumables or progression content the creator has defined.

Before you confirm, KUBORA shows a clear confirmation dialog with: the item, the creator, the KUBITS price, your current balance, and your balance after. No one-click purchases. No surprises.

Creator payouts — real USD, not platform credit

90 % of every KUBIT spent in your world goes to you, paid monthly in real USD to your bank. Not credit. Not tokens. Not locked to the platform.

Every time a player spends KUBITS on something in your world, we credit 90 % of that value to your creator balance (the remaining 10 % covers payment-provider fees, chargeback protection, and platform fraud controls). Creator balance is tracked in USD at the fixed rate 100 K = $1.00.

  • Minimum payout. $10 USD.
  • Payout schedule. Monthly, on the 15th.
  • Methods. Direct bank transfer (SEPA, ACH, SWIFT) or PayPal.
  • Never as KUBITS. You're always paid in local fiat — we never push platform credit as a payout.
  • Eligibility. Free to enroll. You need a verified payout identity (name, address, tax form).
  • Taxes. You're an independent creator, responsible for your own income taxes. We provide annual payout summaries.

How this compares to Roblox

KUBITS look like Robux on the surface — a virtual currency players buy in bundles. The difference is where the money ends up and what's free.

Roblox figures are based on publicly documented DevEx rates (~$0.0035 per Robux cashout) vs. player purchase price (~$0.0125 per Robux) and the platform's published revenue share schedule. Numbers can change; we're not trying to be exhaustive — we're trying to be obviously better.

Billing and taxes

KUBITS bundles are one-time purchases. Nothing renews. Nothing auto-charges. We don't store your card on file unless you tick "save for next time" at checkout — and you can delete it any time from Settings → Billing.

All prices are shown in USD. Your local currency amount is calculated by our payment provider (Paddle, as merchant of record) at checkout and includes any applicable VAT, GST or sales tax.

We accept all major credit and debit cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, PayPal, and common regional methods (SEPA, iDEAL, Bancontact, Przelewy24, and others). We never see or store your full card number — that's handled end-to-end by the payment provider.

For business customers in the EU, UK, or other regions with a valid tax ID (VAT number, GST number, ABN, etc.), enter it at checkout or on the invoice page to apply reverse-charge.

Refunds

A KUBITS bundle is refundable within 14 days of purchase if none of the KUBITS from that bundle have been spent yet. Once any KUBIT from a bundle is used in any world, that bundle is no longer refundable. In-world purchases follow rules set by the creator and disclosed at checkout.
